I’ve been using this product for almost 30 years. Always very tasty, though the product can sometimes experience shrinkflation, with the cans occasionally containing a lot of excess water.

The 3oz size is good for an individual. I bought these to add to freeze dried and commercial MRE entrees. Those tend to have very little protein. The pouches appear to use a vacuum packing wet pack method. This provides a better tasting product as it is not cooked twice with the original au jus removed like meat in steel cans.I had been buying the Sweet Sue 7oz packages and those work for 2+ servings. I have stored the 7oz for over 5 years and they taste fine. The taste is a bit degraded, but still very edible. I expect these to be the same as they use the same processing and packaging. I will be buying more.

Unlike most of the other canned and pouch shelf-stable chicken out there, this stuff is actual chunks of chicken, not shredded chicken.Doesn’t have the “can” taste of canned product and is the perfect serving size. Six stars if I could give it.

Before ordering this product I read the reviews and the reviews for similar products and decided to try this one. Well after trying this product I was extremely disappointed. The taste was bad and the dumplings wereflavorless chunks of dough and the chicken consisted of small pieces of diced chicken. I’m mystified that anyone would ever buy this twice after trying it. Don’t believe me try it !

I love these! The chicken is moist and tender and tastes great. I just open the package and eat the chicken out of the package with a fork. So far, I’ve eaten 12 packages and all have been perfect! I’ve been trying to increase my daily protien intake and these pouches should do the job. I usually leave a little in the package and give it to my little dog. It keeps her entertained for at least 10 minutes.

Love this dish. Although it is just the result of being lazy, it is so nice to be able to open the can, heat and eat without having to get out the flour, etc., make a mess and then, eat. We live both flavor and texture in addition to the ease.

I purchased a case of this product for my summer backpacking trips. The packets are just the right size for trail eating. Snacks, soups, etc… 3 ounces seems to be just about right for one meal. The only thing I don’t like about this product is the added preservatives and enhancers. I believe food should be as natural as possible. That quibble aside, I recommend these small packets for the backpacker looking to add a small amount of meat to their meals and reduce weight in their pack.
