I just had these noodles for the first time ever and i was happily surprised by them. These will absorb the taste like regular pasta will, the only real difference is the consistency. It’s like chewing on vegetables but other than that these do a fantastic job replacing pasta tgat spikes your sugar levels like crazy. That’s the path to diabetes. These are a game changer for people on keto, people who can’t have gluten or people who are pre-diabetic or diabetic.I made these with pasta sauce and cheese. The serving size is also larger than a pasta equivalent so you be full.

Spaghetti is my favorite dish. Since become gluten sensitive I hav done without. I’ve tried substituting zoodles and spaghetti squash. Now that I’ve eaten hearts of palm I will start eating my favorite dish again with my moms homemade sauce. There is nothing wrong with the taste or texture. Quality is great. I am about to order more.

First time using this product. I am happy to say I enjoyed my “spaghetti” dinner with the Hearts of Palm. The one packet was very filling and the texture felt like spaghetti.

Best substitute for spaghetti I have found.

if you keep your expectations in check and realize this is hearts of palm that is shredded, then it’s OK. If you expect it to taste like spaghetti, it doesn’t. With a little bit of spaghetti sauce, it actually reminds me of Kim Chi. Again, nothing wrong with the way it tastes, but it’s nothing like spaghetti or pasta.

The product is classified as gluten free, plant based and I bought it as it is also keto friendly. Not impressed with the packaging…micr9waved briefly…mixed in my meat sauce, spinkled with parmesan…looked forward to the first mouthful….took a bite and I felt it was crunchy like a cross before a bean sprout and a shitake mushroom….not impressed…will not buy again

Perfectly acceptable Keto sub for Pasta. Not quite as tasty as say Low Carb pasta but also less carbs and is pre-cooked. Wife liked it just fine, its become an acquired taste for me but works. These types of Keto pastas though are a lot more expensive than normal pasta.

Ok so look, if you get out of your head finding a non-pasta substitute that tastes and feels just like white flour pasta, this isn’t bad AT ALL. Ive never had zoodles (and I have some shitaki noodles I still need to try) However, frankly now I don’t feel the need to try either. This is better (in taste, texture, and carb count) than any bean pasta I’ve had (chickpea, black bean, lentil). The color, tone and shape will make you think you’re eating real spaghetti. and it takes on the taste of the sauce you use. When you bite into you will feel the slight “crispness” (?) of eating a vegetable (I mean thats reasonable right?) but it retains its shape and structure and I prefer that to the mushiness other “healthy” pastas create if even slightly overcooked. Give it try, you have nothing to lose but $6-7 bucks (although I will say its overpriced and hence the 4 rather than 5 starts)

Pros: Better than nothing, and no odd taste if you know what to do.Cons: Requires you to invest into the process of making it palatable.I read a number of reviews before buying this, and was hopeful, but ready for disappointment. To be clear, if you are a pasta snob, this will not satisfy you. However, after two months without any noodles of any sort… this was nice. It’s important for me to qualify my statement: I have only used it in a wok, as part of a stir fry, and I’m a pretty good cook. I made a lo mein with beef and veggies, and seasoned it a LOT with garlic, pepper flakes, five spice powder and soy sauce. So, as many others have stated, you have to give it flavor, or it’s not good. With all those flavors, I wasn’t relying on the pasta substitute to make me happy.I also followed the recommendations I read in other reviews. You can’t just open the bag and go for it. Some canned vegetables have a tinny taste if you don’t blanch them. This is that way. You have to rinse, then plunge in boiling water for a couple of minutes, drain, and make efforts to remove excess moisture. This is not a product for people who don’t get in the kitchen a lot. You have to put some effort into it. If you are used to easy to use convenience foods, this (and keto, in general) may not work for you.
