An ingredient in this is sprayed with GlyphosateSome organic products are sprayed with glyphosate, which is widely used as a desiccant or drying agent to speed up harvesting. Food testing by The Detox Project shows glyphosate contamination is rampant in organic plant-based protein supplements. When testing eight of the most popular pea protein brands sold on Amazon.com, one organic brand was found to contain more glyphosate than conventional brands. Two conventional (nonorganic) brands, Naked Pea and Anthony’s Pea Protein, had 39 ppb and 80 ppb respectively, while two separate batches of a top-selling organic brand, Orgain Organic Plant-Based Protein Powder, contained 83 ppb and 281 ppb. This contains that pea protein powder. Until they fix it, I am staying away.

Basically a miracleAfter trying some much-lauded No Cow bars recently, I was really put off by their chalky texture and taste. Every single one of their flavors tasted awful. Thankfully, I stumbled across these Orgain Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough bars a few weeks ago and am in love. Even though these bars are dairy-free, gluten-free, low-sugar and soy-free, they taste amazing! I think they taste better than most Clif bars, but with way less sugar and no dairy content. I highly recommend these and hope to keep ordering them regularly

You’ll regret it- nasty after tasteThe bars are soft and have no structure to them, think very soft taffy. I bought them to have as a quick refuel on my bike rides and this will have to get me to stop, and carefully open the wrapper and get my hands sticky and to what? To enjoy an incredibly soft, bland tasteless sandy/gritty bar? I’m worried it may just melt altogether if I go out in 80 degree weather. This is not going to work. I don’t want sticky handle bars thank you. I’m very disappointed. It is proving to be very hard to find just a plain and simple organic vegan protein bar. My search continues. *sigh*

This bar is small in size, so that adds to how much sugar you are eating. I did not feel well..This Orgain Organic Protein Bar Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough states that it has approximately 5 grams of sugar. However, the bar is on the small side compared to the protein bars that I have sampled. I needed to eat two of these to feel satisfied. Regardless if you eat one or two of these, you are getting more sugar based on the bar size. Also, it contains erythritol which is a sugar liquor. This is a good addition, but, doesn’t work for everyone. It can cause stomach upset and flatulence. The taste of the bar is okay, but not great, in my opinion. The bottom line for me is that I did not feel well after I ate these bars; so, I threw them away. I would not recommend. Thank you for reading.

Protein-Packed Vegan DessertI grew up on protein bars. Now that I am more ethically and nutrition-conscious, I’ve switched to plant-based protein and have tried EVERY bar on the shelves. These bars are SO YUMMY. They are my dessert. The chocolate chunks are to die for, and the texture is thick and very much resembles cookie dough.

Piece of hair inside the barI would like to start by saying that I liked the taste of these bars and I was subscribed to receive these bars monthly automatically but today when I was going to have a bar, as soon as I opened it there was a piece of hair inside the bar. At first I was like may be it was outside or may be its my hair so I carefully analyzed the bar and realized that it is inside the bar and the wrapper there is no way my hair could get stuck like that. That is the only reason why I am giving these bars a 3 star review but other than that they are good.

I signed up for subscription at 2 boxes a month so I can enjoy one every day -guiltfree sweet delight! I had 2 today to get the protein I need. The more protein I have the less hungry so eat more protein this is amazing quality best price I’ve ever heard of!

Great ingredients. Good taste.I like the cookie dough flavor the best (after also trying the peanut butter, peanut butter chocolate chip, and s’mores). Next best is the s’mores flavor. They do have a mild chemical-like taste that I’ve gotten used to, which I believe is being caused by the erythritol sweetener. None of the other ingredients seem likely. I wish they would start making them without the erythritol and just have it unsweetened, or just use a little sugar.

Tasty, but flavor variesI’ve reordered these many times because I really like these bars, but they’re not perfect. I like them because they satisfy my sweet tooth for relatively few calories and provide some protein. All three of those things are important considerations for me since I had weight loss surgery. On the down side, they’re pretty gritty. That’s partly due to the “crisps” and partly due to the protein powder I’m sure, so it’s to be expected. The other issue is that the taste and texture vary considerably from batch to batch. I suspect this is a good thing because it reflects the fact that these aren’t rolling off an industrial production line, stuffed full of additives and preservatives, but it means that sometimes it’s different (and worse than usual). This particular order is darker in color and leaves an aftertaste that I really don’t like. However, the chocolate chips and the slight chewiness are yummy. I’ll definitely be ordering again, but I’m hoping that the taste change isn’t due to a reformulation. If it is, I’ll have to find a new treat.

Will buy again and againThis bar is incredibly delicious. I bought a box of 12 for 14 something dollars because it was cheaper than other bars out there. I did not expect it to be this good! Although it has a funky yeast-chocolate smell and sandy texture, but I loved it. I am that kind of person who likes sandy, gritty, crunchy stuff with unusual smell, so it made me happy. The protein keeps you somewhat full. Again, for someone with a big apetite – this bar was the perfect satiating snack to help me not ransack the cookie jar. It’s easy to carry with you to work or during travel (it does melt a little, but omce again- not a major problem) . I will definitely buy these again. ♥️
