This is the best beef jerky I’ve ever had. The ancho flavor is outstanding, and I can’t get enough of it. I first bought the multi pack and I liked all of them, but the Ancho Villa was so incredible, I had to order more of that!

Bought this for my husband for Valentine’s day and he said 2 of the flavors were really good! However he didn’t get to try the dill because when he opened it it was full of mold.

I ordered a three pack, with the pepper, black garlic, and garlic+dill flavor.I’ve tried a lot of high-end, or obscure jerky, and this stuff just doesn’t knock my socks off. It’s not bad by any means, and is better than your big brand stuff, but it’s no Hard Times or Daniel’s Best. You won’t be upset about this jerky, but IMHO, it’s nothing to write home about.It’s solidly a 5/10 for me, or average when compared to other serious jerky brands.

I’m a big fan of their original R&D Biltong and was happy to see them expand their line. Initially was concerned as the flavors didn’t jump out at me on paper…However, once I got them in hand I was blown away! I highly recommend them for anyone keto, like myself…or just a beef jerky fan in general.GARLIC (Darth Garlic): Much like the original R&D. Nice black garlic flavor. Just enough to give it a nice flavor profile but not too much that your palate is ruined for the day with garlic taste. My favorite of the bunch.DILL (Nelson Mandilla): I am not a big fan of dill (in general) but found this exceptional! Good balance and that dill adds the perfect punch to waken your tastebuds with a unique flavor. Like a high end steak.ANCHO PEPPER (Ancho Villa): My palate is a wimp when it comes to spice…I still try to push my boundaries though. This was a pleasant surprise for me…While I found it to have a good kick, it maintained that gourmet flavor and somehow the heat only lingered for a short period of time. It didn’t destroy me but let me know it was there.OVERALL: Excellent flavors, quality meat, choice pieces. My only issue is I tend to eat it up too quickly. Highly recommend!!!

Crazy dude’s rant:Soft jerky = not real jerky. Garbage like Jack’s links goes bad in like a month, WITH preservatives. How the hell is that jerky. I like the good old fashioned stuff, like chewing thin leather. If anyone finds what I’m looking for, please let me know.Actual review:This jerky is softer than I’d like, but still got a good bit of chew, so it’s already up there with some of the best I’ve had on Amazon. Garlic beat the other two flavors for me, but all were pleasant at a minimum. A little pricey, but it’s a bit of a novelty, coming from South Africa. Mostly forgiven. If I don’t find anything better on my journey to finding my dream thin chewable leather, I’ll consider buying some more. Nice packaging.

Ancho villa was my favorite. The Darth Garlic and Nelson Mandilla weren’t as flavorful, but still good. They were very fresh, and soft.

A little expensive, but it is quality biltong. Soft and easy to chew. The Ancho Villa is my favorite, but all three are great. I have this on my Subscribe & Save as a little treat for me every month.
