It’s good after you get used to the taste of Soylent in general
Strawberry Soylent is definitely my favorite flavor of their offerings.

Soylent – A fantastic meal replacement
I have been using soylent for a few years now, not being a big breakfast eater I wanted something that was a good replacement for the nutrition I was missing. Other products are super high in sugar and only have some of the nutrients that would be included in a meal. Soylent has been a fantastic product to fill that spot. I love the ease of the readymade product and there are a variety of flavors that allow you to find one that works for you. Like any of these drink products, the flavors are not always ideal or suited, but I have found a few that work well for me. So, high recommendations for a great meal replacement product.

Great taste but why the massive price increase?
I love this for breakfast but they just raised the price to 70 bucks. I’ll have to find something else I guess.

Excellent Meal replacement; only buy when sub $30
I only buy the chocolate flavor and exclusively when it’s on sale. Excellent meal replacements under those circumstances.

Strong
Wow this stuff is strong. Be warned: You will need to consume plenty of water before during and after consuming Coffiest. I’ve been rehydrating following a virus and Coffiest still gave me all the effects I normally get if I consume 2+ strong cups of coffee. Powerful stuff. But not bad. Just make sure you get plenty of water throughout the day.Taste: I haven’t had base Soylent yet but I imagine the base product must taste like drinkable pancake mix to me. Imagine if you had a coffee machine that poured a highly concentrated dark coffee into thin pancake mix. It’s sort of a non-flavor, and all I can taste is really dark/burnt coffee, as though someone poured a very generic powdered creamer into my cup. Personally I prefer very light morning blends for my cup so I wish the company had gone that direction, but the culture is currently in the grips of a dark coffee trend so this was as expected.Kick: Yowza. As many people have said, don’t down this in one gulp. I’d recommend consuming half the bottle at the start of your commute and the rest shortly after, or space it out around your morning meeting. Then drink a tall glass of water to flush your system. I don’t want to get too personal but if you’re sensitive to strong coffee like I am you definitely know when you’ve had too much at once, and the effects are present here. I don’t feel jittery or manic, the level of caffeine is between 1 and 2 strong cups, but they must have used a method that extracted all the other oils and “good stuff” from a very dark roast. Normal cold brewing doesn’t do that for me so I’m interested to see what exactly they did. People with sensitive stomachs might want to split the bottle entirely, and space this out by consuming half of a normal bottle of Soylent or other breakfast shake and saving the second half.Overall, I’m both full and thoroughly caffeinated. I’m only taking one star off because they really could have use a lighter roast to make this more gentle on people’s systems. You could always drink a regular cup of coffee later if you need more strength. This blend will definitely be too strong for some people, but I have to say it’s just right for the “average” coffee drinker of today who seems obsessed with large quantities of dark roast. For you and me though, pack a glass of water at least as tall as the bottle while you’re consuming Coffiest.

Convenient, somewhat filling, but expensive.
I decided to try these once my job axed our lunch breaks after an ownership change (hooray…). I work opening, so it was near impossible to find time to eat breakfast before it was time to start work. I tried hurriedly making food and then eating it real fast before starting my shift, but not only was it unpleasant as it was cold by then, it seemed to upset my stomach to hurry. Buying breakfast every morning simply wasn’t an option, that drains your money FAST (also not all that much open that early in the morning). So I began looking for an alternative and here we are.First, my biggest gripe by far is that this is pretty expensive. If you want to use it as an actual full-on meal replacement, you’re gonna be spending quite a lot of money to do so. That said, even though the title says ‘meal replacement drink’, I don’t personally feel like it’s ideal for that. I feel my own circumstances, where it replaces the occasional meal to save time or the like, is really what it’s best for.Other than that, it’s alright. I don’t think you can reasonably expect it to be as filling as a proper meal would be, and it isn’t. Perhaps if they added a few more ounces to each bottle, it would both be a better meal replacement solution and be more worth the price you’re paying. You likely won’t be full, but you’ll be not-hungry for a couple of hours. The taste is fine (I’m reviewing the original flavour, specifically) if you’re not someone that -needs- strong flavours. It’s mild, and as a lot of people have mentioned, kind of tastes like cereal milk, but less sweet. That said, they clearly changed the formula recently and it seems to be a little less thick, so I’m still adjusting to that. I think I actually preferred how it was before, I liked the thickness. I’m also a little worried that the thinner/different/new stuff is less robust or just less in some way than it originally was but at the same price (we all know people love to cheapen their products after people take a liking to it, but without lowering the price). I’ll have to look into that later. On the upside with the changes, the bottles themselves stack more nicely and I much prefer the twist off cap over having to tear off paper first. They fit way better in their box and are just kind of more attractive to look at too.Overall, I continue to buy this because it’s useful. But if I found a cheaper option that was just as nutritious, didn’t taste disgusting and was just as filling (which isn’t a high bar) or at least gave you more per bottle, I would be willing to switch.

Soylent is amazing… if you like it
Soylent is awesome for some. A coworker tried it and literally could not swallow it. My first impression was that it was tolerable, if you could get past there being more texture than expected. After a couple of days I started craving Soylent — I can only guess it supplied some nutrient I’d been missing to that point. I decided to order more, along with some chocolate syrup to make it more enjoyable. After making sure the Soylent spent at least eight hours in the fridge before I consumed it, I found I didn’t need any additional flavoring. That was about a year ago; I drink it at work for breakfast and lunch, which makes those meals both easy and healthy. I miss a lot fewer meals, but I also find I eat fewer unhealthy foods between meals. After a Soylent, I don’t have a desire for a dessert the way I do with “regular” meals. If I find myself thinking about snacking it’s usually because I’m overdue for a Soylent…. one bottle later and I’m no longer tempted by the snacks. From a practical perspective, Soylent has a mild flavor that I find pleasant; it’s like slightly sweet soy milk — a little nutty, but mostly neutral with some texture to it. You can add a chocolate syrup if you need something more, or buy the cacao flavor, but I find it unnecessary and prefer the original flavor to cacao (2020 update: mint chocolate is delightful). It’s better thoroughly chilled, though you should take your time sipping it; it’s a full meal so downing it quickly isn’t a good idea. It’s not a weight-loss drink — and some people find the 400 calories per bottle too much — but I do find it keeps me from snacking, so I did lose some weight when I made it part of my diet. I also find myself with more energy since I’m definitely getting more balanced nutrition. It’s great that I don’t have to think about meals at work but end up healthier with less effort (and now I can bring a Soylent meal to a meeting without any awkwardness). It’s not for everyone — of those I’ve seen try it about half thought it was terrible and the other half find it somewhat enjoyable. If you like soy milk you’ll probably like Soylent. If you’re turned off by “franken foods,” this isn’t for you either, though I’d recommend checking out the Soylent website since they have some good arguments. If neither of those things worry you, it can be a highly convenient way to get nutrients for meals you’d normally have on the go or might otherwise forget/miss — and you might find yourself with more energy and feeling healthier while you’re at it.

Delicious
This is a great meal replacement. If your like me and sick of the normal strawberry, chocolate or vanilla most other companies offer this product is a great change of flavor.
