Great protein shake option in a value pack.
I love that these shakes come in a variety pack. Some days after a hard work out, you need a shake with more dense nutrients and calories. Other times you need something lighter just as a snack or one to give you an energy boost. This multi-pack has all three options and all taste equally as good. There is no chalky taste and they are smooth and not thick. Like a chocolate milk consistency. I would definitely get these again. A great addition to my personalized nutrition plan.

Prefer the powdered Soylent over these shakes, but they are convenient for those without IBS
So I’ll start by saying that my husband, who I ordered these protein shakes for, suffers from IBS. It’s incredibly hard to get him to eat any solid foods until night time. It’s really hard for him to get motivated to eat anything. He also exercises regularly and needs the calories and protein that comes with eating regularly. So for the last few years now, he has been getting bags of Soylent powder once a month to make his own meal replacement drink – which is really quite inexpensive. As far as these bottled Soylent protein shakes go, they have definitely been doing their job. However, the taste is not so great, and it’s hard for him to digest it (perhaps due to his IBS), and so he pours extra water on top of the protein shake, and mixes it up in his shake cup. These Soylent Ultimate Protein Shakes are WAY too thick, in his opinion, and considerably more expensive than the powdered Soylent bags. They also tasted too much like their signature soy, which is a flavor he is not into (but perhaps others may be). While these shakes are convenient, mixing the Soylent powder yourself produces a better, more drinkable and digestible consistency. My husband also felt like he did not get particularly alert or focused having drunk the energy shakes in this pack that purported to heighten these qualities. The Soylent Ultimate Protein Shake bottles had less calories than his Soylent meal replacement powder as well. That being said, there’s still an immense amount of good in each of these bottles. If you can stomach it and don’t have IBS, he would totally recommend trying them.

Good flavor and filling
I find these great for breakfast or early lunch. They make me feel full during the day and avoid snacking which helps. They have a good flavor and I enjoy them. I have also found that putting them in the freezer for a bit can lead to a nice ice cream/slushy like drink that is great on these hot days. Overall the chocolate flavors are all good not too much difference between them. I like them. I can usually drink one of these and be good until dinner. These are great for quick and convenient morning meal grabs. Highly recommend!

Great protein drinks
The taste is great. They are great for drinking straight or using as a base for shakes. They are plant-based proteins from soy. After my morning routine workout, I really enjoy drinking them cold. Very smooth chocolate taste, but not too sweet at all. For the price of the time of review, they are more affordable than most healthy protein drinks in local stores.

chocolate for breakfast
Yummy, delicious Soylent Protein shake that fills me up for breakfast. The chocolate is rich and satisfying. Sugar content is low so no sugar crash an hour later. I enjoy this portable meal with no reservations.

Not bad at all
I have been able to drink each variety and I think they all are not bad at all. I wouldn’t say they taste great but they are good enough to drink and to feel satisfied afterward. The texture of the shakes is like chocolate milk. The bottles are thick and hold up well to being thrown in a gym bag.

As someone who regularly consumes protein and other health drinks, you expect a rich and strong flavor/ taste which these line up with the other ones. It’s not a bad flavor but you can taste all the vitamins for sure. They’re all chocolate in which I’d love to try a vanilla if they make them. It’s 3 different kinds which are all similar in ingredients and flavor but I found the plain chocolate to be the most enjoyable and least intense flavor. All of them did give me a burst of energy that lasted longer than a cup of coffee, maybe even as long or longer than a Matcha Green Tea Latte and for me getting any missing supplements and having energy is the important thing. They also didn’t make me jittery or nauseous at all, a huge plus. They are in my opinion a little pricey for 4 packs (of each flavor for a total of 12 drinks) but not overly pricey. I’d recommend them for anyone that likes these drinks in- general and though not for every day I would buy them in the future

Tasty Chocolate Milkshake for Nutrition!
These make a really good Nutritional shake/meal replacement with chocolate flavor! It’s pretty filling if you need something to get you through to your next meal, or before a workout! The best way to describe the taste is like chocolate milk! Its thick, very chocolaty, and fairly filling. There are 3 different kinds of variations, one is a protein shake, another is energy drink, and the 3rd is the meal replacement. They all taste pretty similar and have 11 ounces, but I will start from best to last. The Creamy Chocolate Meal Replacement Shake is a ready to drink meal, and has the most calories at 320. There as 16g of plant based proteins, 28 vitamins and minerals, and 1g of sugar. This is the most filling, along with best flavor. The Protein Shake can be used as a pre workout/ post workout drink, it has NO SUGAR in it and an improved 30g of plant based proteins. This one goes down to 250 calories. Everything else stays the same. The Energy Nootropic Shake can be used as pre workout too and has the most caffeine, only at 180 calories and 15g of protein. This one being an energy version has the most sugar at 3g. It tastes similar to the other 2 only with little differences, mostly just with the taste and texture/thickness.For a nutritional shake, these are a good choice is you also like to have a sweet taste to them! I like to have them cold so you can put them in the fridge, even add some ice with them! My expiration date said it stays good for just about a year. I’ll continue to drink these!

Good taste, not chalky, best ice cold, extra love for the Pure Energy option
Best consumed extra cold. Perfectly fine as is, or used as base for a smoothie. I pretty much like all the Solyent products, all flavors. I usually order their meal replacement drinks, and the occasional protein drink, but this is the first time I have tried their energy focused drink. I like it! I dont always need a meal level drink, and I dont always want my drinks to be just protein. The Complete Energy portion of this pack is right up my ally. It has best of both worlds: goodly amount of protein, some fiber (more than the actual meal shakes), some vitamins & minerals, caffeine, and somehow is lower in calories then all of them. SO I am sold on the Pure Energy. The Pure Protein is fine and have no issue with it. It too has some fiber (more than the meal replacement shake) and also has some vitamins and minerals. Whole lot of protein, better for me on workout days. Plant based (soy).I hope they come out with other flavors of the Pure Energy

Healthful and filling
Soylent shakes have been lifesaving as meal preparation recently has been difficult. Rather than skipping meals, I have opted to enjoy these shakes three times a week. I love the flavors, which are tasty and satisfying. For a busy and active person, each shake is filling, and I am not hungry for at least three-to-four hours. One shake controls my hunger for most of the afternoon, a time when I do not have a chance to eat a proper meal. Additionally, the ingredients are healthful, and I appreciate this shake’s being plant-based. Although these shakes are pricey, they are worth the investment for solid nutrition and convenience.

Soylent Ultimate Chocolate Nutritional Shake Variety Pack 12 ct Excellent
There are 3 varieties in this group of nutritional shakes each with a different purpose but all are chocolate flavored, all are in 11 ounce bottles and soy is the source for the plant based protein in each drink. The shakes use sucralose (Splenda) for sweetening which can sometimes have an aftertaste but I detect none. Also the sweetening is used sparingly so there is no overwhelmingly sweet taste, a common issue with protein powders and shakes .The group provide a good way to try each variety and select whichever shake is a good fit for the needs of a particular day. The Creamy Chocolate ready-to-eat meal is the most delicious of the group—truly chocolaty and creamy. It has 320 calories, 16 grams of protein and a comprehensive assortment of vitamins and minerals that provide between 10 and 15 percent of DV (daily value)—so nothing excessive. The shake designed for boost brain function has my least favorite flavor but that said it still tastes pretty good. Among the brain boosting elements are B vitamins which are included at 100 percent of DV. B vitamins do not taste great which is probably why this shake isn’t quite as flavorful as the other two. There are 180 calories in the drink along with 16 grams of plant based protein. Additional vitamins and minerals are included at between 15 and 30 percent of DV.Finally the protein shake is quite good tasting and has 30 grams of protein per 250 calorie bottle. The long list of vitamins and minerals in the formula all provide 15 percent of DV so again nothing excessive. After opening the shakes should be refrigerated and consumed within 3 days. To estimate shelf-life at the time of this review in August 2022 the Best By date is depending upon the variety between 7 and 11 months in the future. Excellent nutritional shakes.

Great shakes with a variety of benefits in this mixed pack!
These Soylent shakes are great as supplemental meals to get some extra calories and protein in your diet. These are very similar to the standard flavors, but are different in that two of them have different nutrients. The first is just the standard chocolate shake, it is good but nothing special in terms of ingredient differences. The second is a high protein shake that includes 30g instead of the standard 16g and also has less calories at 250 vs the standard 320. The third shake is meant for a lighter snack at only 180 calories and 15g of protein but also includes caffeine so be aware if you drink it at night. All taste very similar and are very good for protein shakes. Personally, I prefer the higher calorie ones myself but the high protein one here is also a great addition. Overall, it depends what you are looking for in a shake, whether that is high calorie, high protein, or energy, but all Soylents I’ve tasted have been great!

Soylent vegan shakes are rich, delicious, and filling
These drinks are quite tasty and filling. I have tried all three of them and quite honestly I cannot tell the difference between them. They all are chocolaty, thick (rich), tasty, and filling. There are differences in protein content and calorie count. But, they all contain the same 39 essential nutrients.Complete Protein drink has 30g protein, 250 calories, and no added sugarsComplete Energy drink has 15g protein, 180 calories, and 3g sugarsCreamy Chocolate drink has 16g protein, 320 calories, and 1g sugarsConsidering they are very filling and can substitute for a breakfast, $3 per bottle is really a good value. Today I went on a 30-mile bike ride and consumed only Creamy Chocolate drink and no other breakfast. I was able to get by until lunch time.I am enjoying these drinks and would highly recommend them.

Easy Meal Replacement
I am using these as a meal replacement a few times a week to try to lose some weight. This chocolate variety pack is really quite good. They are not too gritty and very flavorful. The name Soylent, I have to admit made me think, lol – if you are old enough you will know what I mean. As far as a quick healthy snack or a meal replacement these are great. Looking forward to trying out the other flavors but as far as these chocolate ones, they are good.

Tasty
I love that this variety pack includes shakes with different caloric loads. There’s the high calorie meal replacement option, which clocks in at more than 300 calories per serving. Then, there’s the post-workout shake (250 calories), and the snack size one (180 calories). Which is great for me, since I’m always on the go. Now, I can choose to have one for lunch, or right after school, when I need a little boost of energy. And the chocolate flavor tastes great. Very comparable to others on the market, but a little creamier, perhaps? No complaints here…just really glad to have some nutritious, ready to consume options in the fridge.

Its not bad
I will start by saying, if you are ordering this because you are looking for a fun chocolate beverage, don’t. These don’t taste bad in my opinion, but the flavour is not great. I would not quite call these meal replacements either, though they technically say they are. You could have one for a meal, but in my experience, it does not fill you. They are slightly thick, but I say that compared to milk or water. They are thinner than a milkshake would be by a fair bit.I liked the regular chocolate the most. I thought the brain boost chocolate tastes a bit off, and the protein chocolate I thought tasted mostly the same as the regular. If I was to buy one of these types of drinks again, it would either be the vanilla variant of this, or a completely different brand.

Best Served Cold
I have terrible eating habits. While “normal” people might get up in the morning and have some pb toast and a coffee, I wake up 5 minutes before I am supposed to clock in to my work from home office. Sometimes I grab coffee or an energy drink on the way. The problem is that coffee isn’t really enough to start your system for the day, and neither are energy drinks – especially if they’re suger free. What ends up happening is that I sit at my desk for hours and hours before wandering into the kitchen completely and utterly famished, and then eating too much of a bad thing, or finding something to tide me over for the 30 minutes it takes the closest pizza place to deliver. I am trying to remedy this not only for my budget, but for my waistline. I also do not get enough protein and try to be concious of sugar because diabetes. So the goal has been to find a reasonable protein or meal replacement shake that I can keep in the cooler (a Frigidaire mini cooler) next to my desk and grab in the mornings or at lunch when things are super busy.I have tried Soylent in the past, but didn’t realize they had multiple varieties that I could try so I was excited to find these. First thing I noticed is they fit nice and look cute in the mini fridge (it is technically a “cooler” – the Frigidaire Mini Cooler that holds 12 cans for photo context).,The best tasting option out of the 3 is the Creamy Chocolate – which makes sense because it also has the highest calories and the most carbs. The Chocolate Nutrition shake was pretty good. I was pleasantly surprised because I kind of expected it to be gritty and it wasn’t at all. The calories aren’t bad. It also has the highest protein and lowest carbs out of the three varieties in the box.The Complete Energy was a little bit of a let down. It has the lowest calories, but also the least amount of protein. And it was by far not as tasty as the other two options.I’m glad I got these though and had an opportunity to figure out what the best Soylent option for me was. My local stores don’t carry the variety and this was really the best option for trying all three so I know what to purchase for myself moving forward.

Pretty good for a protein drink
First off, i haven’t tried a whole lot of smoothie shaker protein drinks, so this perspective is from a relative noob. I had a friend give me a similar drink (Muscle Milk) once and I could barely get it down. This Soylent was MUCH better. It doesn’t quite taste like chocolate milk, but it is a pretty good approximation. There are three types of drinks in this assortment – one for a meal replacement, one for protein, and one for energy/focus boost. I was impressed with how similar they taste despite their unique combination of ingredients. This means if you like I’ve, then you’ll like them all. These are good at time temperature, but slightly better if refrigerated.I’m deducting one star for my opinion of the flavor. It’s close to a 5, but not quite there for me. On the other hand, if I were drinking this type of shakes regularly, in think that this would be one of the better options, and I might raise the score. For me, something that tasted just like low-fat chocolate milk would be a 5.

Delicious Vegan Soy Protein – Although A Tad Bit Pricey
As I have mentioned in my previous review of Soylent (see their variety pack for it) I drink a protein shake daily for breakfast, whether it be a premade one such as these Soyylent vegan meal replacement ones, Ensure, Premier Protein, or a powder based variety such as Dynomite or Axe and Sledge Farm Fed.Delicous, chocolately flavor as always that leaves you wanting more, but what didn’t impress me, and frankly disgusted me, was the nootropic cognitive booster one. There was a very bitter aftertaste that left me only wanting one sip and one sip only.As far as these go, that’s my only complaint!

If you like chocolate go for it!
It tastes a little thicker than chocolate milk. It’s not overly sweet but there is definitely enough sweetness to it. It does have a little bit of that chalky flavor but I’m sure that has to do with all the wonderful vitamins in it. Overall there’s nothing negative about the flavor itself it’s just a little bit of a different texture. I honestly enjoy it and have no issue drinking any of the three flavors which are all chocolate but different benefits. If you’re looking for a nice quick easy drink in the morning as a meal replacement this is perfect.

Better than my previous ones
This is so far my favorite out of all the ones I tried before. I specially like the creamy chocolate. It’s not extremely sweet likes others so this is drinkable to me. I find that I can drink them best if they are half frozen and like a milk shake texture, without that kind it is way too creamy for me texture wise.Flavors are really good and I love the added nutrition and energy boost.Does fills me up so I like drinking them mid day when I don’t want to have dinner or early in the morning to give me that extra energy all day.If you like creamy texture for drinks this is something worth trying. I find that this taste better than my kids milk protein drinks so that’s a big plus!

Decent
I have come around more on these drinks/meal replacements and they taste better than I remember. The chocolate complete meal is good. It has a nice chocolate flavor and filling so that’s a plus. The Chocolate complete protein was just okay, it had a off taste, which I’m sure was just the increase of protein compared to the others, that I’m just not used to but again not bad. The energy one was similar to the higher protein one. I did feel a little boost in my day and these definitely helped me stay full. Overall I’m pleased with the flavor and will keep some around as a staple in the pantry.

Great taste
I’m not a fan of protein shakes and haven’t ever found one that I actually like enough to continue drinking, until this. I really love the way these taste. They’re rich and creamy and they don’t have any of that grittiness. It comes with 3 different types of drinks – a meal replacement, a protein shake, and an energy booster. The energy booster made me feel like I’d drank a strong cup of coffee, so there was a difference but it was slight. I really appreciated the meal replacement shake because I’m not good about eating actual food and tend to eat my first meal around 3 in the afternoon. The meal replacement shake made me feel like I was at least trying to take better care of myself. On the mornings when I was feeling lightheaded or foggy in the brain I drink the protein shake and I feel better in about 20 minutes. The cost for these is comparable to other protien drinks on the market, but the flavor is what sells these for me.

Reasonably tasty
I’m not sure the “creamy” chocolate is really creamy, or just less intense. Regardless, these are pretty tasty, in a chocolate meal replacement kind of way, with just little bit of the chalkiness and bitterness one finds in pea protein based drinks.I wish the sweeteners were something more natural, like agave (not stevia), inasmuch as sucralose supposedly messes up your gut bacteria. The “energy” version also says it contains caffeine, but absolutely nowhere on the bottle does it say how much.I like that the bottles seal well, and that they have both an internal foil seal and an external screw cap. I’ll probably save these for travelling food, but I’m glad to find them.
