I’ve tried another brand of mushroom jerky (savory wild by Giorgio) and this brand is so much better imo. The taste is great a little sweet (original flavor) but I like it that’s way. I’ve also tried the charcoal grilled flavor and it is great too! A little more kick if you eat enough as opposed to the original flavor. The best part of this jerky is the texture. It is more soft and easier to chew/break off than the other brand. So I will definitely buy again.

Freshness – Dated March 2024The seller removed the label on the Amazon page that said they were Vegan they’re not. They are Vegetarian. I’ve had other beef and Vegetarian Jerky before so lets do some comparing.1. This is lower in sodium than what I’ve experienced in any other Jerky. A big plus2. It contains Palm Oil as the 2nd ingredient. Not good3. Texture – Close to real jerky. Just a bit stringy but not enough to say it’s bad4. Flavor – This is where it looses a star. They didn’t replicate the true intense Jerky flavor. Yes a lot of that comes from salt which is much lower here but it’s missing something. If you never had real meat jerky because you Vegetarian you might never know as it’s not bad. Just missing something if you are doing a comparison. I had the original flavor, maybe one of the other flavors is more intense.Summary – Really good, but not great if you’re looking for something lower sodium and/or are a Vegetarian. If not you probably want to look at something else.

So I’m not typically a fan of mushrooms, but this mushroom jerky doesn’t taste very mushroom-y. Similar texture to beef jerky, maybe a little softer. Overall it’s a decent snack, but not something I crave.I got the variety pack. The hot & spicy I’d say is about a medium spice level. Has a little kick but not super spicy.I know jerky is expensive, but at $24.99 for 3 small bags I don’t know that I could justify ordering again.

I’ve now tried all three of the flavors on offer here and I must say, they’re good. My favorite is the Charcoal Grill flavor of shitake mushroom jerky. The mushroom jerky itself has a very similar texture to beef jerky – it may actually be slightly more chewy in some cases. The flavors are a little smoky, a little spicy (in one case, a lot spicy) and really come through with each bite. It’s not just a flavor that feels slapped on with a flavored powder.I do think that at this price point you’re going to really want to try (or already enjoy) shitake mushroom jerky.

I really wasn’t sure what to expect from mushroom jerky but I’m glad I gave these a try.I got the variety pack to try multiple flavors, original is best for me. Each comes in their own resealable bag. They have a great chew and flavor/spice mixture reminds me of Chinese jerkies that have almost a sweet fruit flavor to them. Which might be expected as these are made in Taiwan. I liked original the best and then hot & spicy. The charcoal grill one wasn’t bad but seem to have an aftertaste/made back of my mouth feel funny.I would probably order the original flavor of this again.

This mushroom jerky has a really great chewable texture that is really satisfying. I’m a little confused why they needed eggs but it seems to work well.My only criticism is that the flavors aren’t particularly strong. They are all somewhat bland and I don’t find a lot of difference between the flavors. Even the hot and spicy wasn’t really hot or spicy.I questioned whether to give this 3 or 4 stars but the quality of the product and great “meaty” texture pushed it over the edge. I would really love this product if it had more classic jerky flavors with some nice salt, sweetness, and spice.Overall satisfied with the “The Daily Good Mushroom Jerky – 3-Pack Plant-Based Snacks, High-Fiber Mushroom Snack, Gluten-Free Food, Contains Eggs, Made from Shiitake Stalk, 0.58 lbs, Original, Hot & Spicy, Charcoal Grill”.

Got the original, really delicious, but it’s a really tiny bag for 12 dollars. Can’t justify this honestly

This shiitake mushroom Jerky is very unique and makes for a nice snack option. It has lots of flavor and a good chew.My husband did taste them quite a bit after eating them, but still enjoyed them very much. They are fairly pricy, but what jerky isn’t?I would buy this again.

OMG these are really delicious. I’ve tried the original first and fell in love so now I kind of want to prolong gratification with the other 2 in the variety mix but based on this as the OG I am SUPER excited. Will update more once I try the others. The original: great, addictively delicious, really more on the Chinese jerky side. Realized after that these are produced in Taiwan so that makes sense now! Reminds me of the pork+beef jerky I used to get growing up in Chinatown from a small mom+pop shop. Compared to American jerky, it’s a bit on the sweet side and the spicing is much more elaborate and delicious. Curry notes are detectable, there’s a great umami richness to the rub. Soy sauce I didn’t detect either but totally makes sense. NO this isn’t technically vegan because there’s egg but as a non-vegetarian I still appreciate these, especially more because I feel like the egg provides the umami richness, I assume it’s like a powdered yolk lending some rich meaty custardiness however I DON’T think it even tastes like egg or anything at all! The other 2 flavors contain MSG except this doesn’t so as far as umami-ness goes, I’m impressed these didn’t need to achieve AND excited to try how MSG and the other spicing amps those flavors up too.The texture I assume will be the same throughout the flavors and imo it’s great. Chewy and dry but not TOO chewy or dry. I’m guessing they fried it to get this texture? It’s super satisfying, I think they use shiitake stems, fun to pull off in strips with my mouth to eat. Better texture than real beef jerky imo.Not aggressively mushroom-y either, just great umami shiitake undernotes amping up the great spicing variety in it.Contains ample fiber and even some protein and vitamin D. If I had to find a complaint or rather suggestion, I’d be interested in trying a slightly less sweet version. 2 servings per container but good on you if you can not finish this in one sitting. I practically inhaled mine.I don’t say this often but this is actually a product I would consider repurchasing. I’ve tried a few mushroom jerky and snack alternatives before and this is definitely the best I’ve had. If I could find a bulk enough pack to make the cost worth it, I feel value for product would definitely be there.First impressions, will update if I find further benefits or issues w/ more use in the future.

I noticed another reviewer gave this jerky 1 star because it contains eggs. It does make sense that most people would assume a product advertised as plant-based would be vegan, so that is probably something that needs to be pointed out more clearly on the product page. But fortunately my wife is vegetarian, not vegan, so she can eat this. And as far as flavor goes, this jerky is delicious! It is the best vegetarian jerky I have ever tried. If I didn’t know it was vegetarian when I opened the package, I would think it is made from real meat. That is how good it is. I ordered the variety pack so my wife and I could try all 3 flavors. Our favorite is the hot & spicy, but they are all good. If you’re vegetarian but can still eat eggs, I highly recommend giving this jerky a try.
