Founding Readers

Every table starts with the people who showed up first. The first 100 readers who join the Sunday Table are our Founding Readers: your first name goes on this page (only if you want it to), you get first look at each month’s challenge, and when we’re deciding which jar to explain next or which chef’s dish to recreate, we ask you first.

It’s free. It stays free. There’s nothing to buy. It’s a thank-you for being here before anyone else was.

What Founding Readers get

• Your name at the table. First name and city, listed below, if you say yes when you sign up.
• First look at the monthly challenge. December’s One Jar Challenge, January’s Kimchi 30 Days, February’s Seollal table: Founding Readers hear about it a week before everyone else.
• A vote on what’s next. Once a month the Sunday Table asks one question (which jar, which chef, which dish). Founding Readers’ answers decide it.
• The guide. The Korean Pantry, Explained, 8 pages, arrives with your first letter.
